I would like to be able to use it away from home as well, but when I tried to connect to it with the app at a friend's house, the app just said it can't find Anova. As there are WiFi issues from time it would be very useful if there was an option in the App to toggle connectivity between WiFi and Bluetooth. As I wanted to cock more often vegetables and dessert which needs higher temperatures than beef, I have chosen the Wifi to reduce heating time.
